Overview of my strengths and my development opportunities

The very first personality test I took was the 16 personalities, it was in Vancouver in 2015, and it was thanks to Faris that I discovered it. When I read the results, I recognized myself and above all it gave me insights for improvement, progress, awareness and understanding of some of my behaviors.

Since then I have discovered other tests and I always enjoy answering, questioning myself, questioning the veracity of the results, it's a bit like a game for me.

My way of reading the results is:

  • I am not the results, this does not represent my whole identity

  • I focus on my reactions when reading the results, am I excited or am I surprised? If I am surprised by certain parts, I wonder about the reasons for my surprise and then I choose to dig, or not!

Since this first test in 2015, I have taken several personality tests in different contexts. Last week, I wanted to sit down to get an overview of what came out of these tests with the intention of:

  • To become aware of my strengths and develop them

  • To become aware of what limits me, where I have less added value and therefore either delegate it or decide to work on it to improve it according to my current objectives.

I relied on the following tests:

  • 16 personalities

  • AssessFirst

  • PrinciplesYou

  • emco

  • Big Five

  • The Predictive Index

  • Clifton Strengths

  • The Saboteurs

  • The Feedback received by my former colleagues (thank you again :) )

It lasted about 3 hours, I did it in two parts, a session on strengths and a session on opportunities for improvement. It was really a great exercise:

  • I have an overview of my strengths, and this feeds my self-confidence

  • I am aware of my “blind spots” so as not to engage in this type of task, communicate it, and put in place the actions that seem right to me to improve myself.

  • It was a moment of quality with myself, of understanding, it also feeds my positioning when I accompany in coaching, in Gestalt and as Sr HRBP.

I experienced it and I recommend it to you :)
